Hey guys,
1986 BJ73 5mt. Wanting to change my differential fluids. How can i tell what differential my truck came with LSD or non LSD? Are both front and rear LSD or just rear?

Hello,

Check your VIN plate.

Under Axle Type, check the code. If the last digit is a 5, you have a limited slip differential.

Hi
Only rear axle would be LSD. Usually there is a sticker on the diff, too, but it might be gone.
If in doubt, to be on the safe side: You can use LSD oil also in non-LSD axle, too.
