Hows the bodywork going? I like seeing painted 60's :D

I'm in the same place that you are with rust. The design for those rear fenders is horrible, they might as well have skipped painting them.

Yeah...I think they gave 62's a strip of panel adhesive at the seam, whereas 60's didn't get it. I just chop out the rot and weld in new skin. After, scuff with 80 grit and use the thinnest filler possible. I'll probably sandblast and por15 the actual inner lip.

I do batches because of my limited garage space. As long as the paint comes from the same mix and your spraying full-hiding, then they will be all the same.

Rockers sandblasted, sealing the roof and will be spraying sealer this evening hopefully. New windshield came in, brand new PGW (formerly PPG).

Looks good man!

Hope that gnarly bruise/blood under your thumbnail gets better soon.

bloody good job you'r doing man. i plan on painting my 60 soon, wasn't planning on removing the panels and doors and stuff but looking at urs it might be well worth it!!!

Boy do I wish you had,
1) discovered my compressor regulator issue earlier,
and 2) snatched the gun out of my hand and said "let me show you how this is done."

I think we should spray your roof again. Mask it off like I did my roof, and use my gun. With an HVLP gun, 3 heavy coats on the roof is only a pint of unreduced paint.

I'm going black on my roof. And I'll decide what to do once I wet sand and buff the rest. I'd be a fool to go for "nice". As it sits, I have accomplished "nice from far, but far from nice", and unless I start from scratch, it isn't going to get a whole lot better, which is OK.
