Im lookin' at a 95' 80 and a 97' 450 in the a.m. Both have lockers. A carfax report said they were fleet vehicles for the first 120k miles of there lives any thoughts? The reports had very well documented service records.

I've seen that alot too in my searches...Made me wonder if "Fleet Vehicle" was another way of saying "Leased Vehicle". Maybe it is just me but how many companies buy $40K-$50K vehicles to use in a fleet?

Not sure about being a fleet vehicle for 120K miles though. Definitely couldn't be a lease then could it? Most I've seen were fleet vehicles for the first 30-40K or so.

At 120K miles from what I gather the biggest issues (aside from PM stuff like belts, hoses, etc) to look for are the front axle and if it has been serviced and if there is any sign of HG failure

Im thinkin maybe company vehicle or something. I"ll give em both the full shake down and run through. The lockers are makin me drool.....The 80 just had a dealer run through to the tune of 2k so Im curious to see what the reciepts will say. It has 140k on it and I can probably snag it pretty cheap.

Fleet vehicles

If it realy is a fleet vehicle I may consider it. I drive a Company Fleet vehicle 500-600 miles a week and it is maintained better than most people I knows personal cars. That may just be me but i never no know where or when I am going to have to go so I need to be able to depend on it. My company may be the exeception but I recieve e-mails every 5000 miles with the manufacturers recomended service items, and all work is done at the Dealership.

MY 2 cents
