Is it too late to register for this?

Also, can I register for a TLCA membership right now so that I can register for this event?

I went to the Tall Corn Cruiser Classic last weekend with my boyfriend, it was our first event and we LOVED it!!! :D Someone told us about this event and we'd love to be able to go.

I believe the deadline is the 12th, register here .. https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=152718

Pretty sure you can also submit TLCA membership, your number would just be pending in your Flat Nasty registration. Double check with DuManchu in the link, or hopefully someone will reply here.

Hope to see ya both.

Can still register and if your TLCA is pending that's fine. your trustworthy!

No not passengers, registered drivers.. It's also an open park.

Curious...if you're running an automatic transmission, does the parking brake still have to function?

Just speculating here, but I would image that as long as it keeps the vehicle from moving while idling in drive, it would pass? I was impressed that my coolant overflow tank is referred to as a "coolant recovery system"

So does this mean we'll see ya there?

So what if the parking brake doesn't really function at all?

I've seen what can happen without a functioning parking brake (and brakes for that matter):

1) Make attempt at hill
2) Stall out
3) Put foot on brake, no brakes, pull on e-brake, no brake there either
4) Roll backwards with no control on speed
5) See nice white 40 behind you. Make a choice, 40 or tree. Choose tree.
6) Crush rear door and hard top.

I was the guy with the 40. He hit the tree I was standing next to. I don't think he enjoyed the rest of the event that year.

The safety checks that are performed are for both your safety as well as the safety of those around you. As we are a sanctioned TLCA event, and have purchased insurance through the TLCA for our event, we are required to perform the inspections in accordance with TLCA guidelines.

So to answer your question, we expect that your vehicle would have some sort of functioning emergency brake (conventional, line locks, etc.).

Advanced registration for our event will close tomorrow. If you are interested in attending the event, please come to the park and look for the registration tent. If you are willing to submit to outright hazing, we may let you sign up late. :D
