Well, after a bit of trouble loading the J**p onto the borrowed trailer (width problems necessitated removal of the fenders), we finally made it down on Saturday morning.
I think I saw the 'cabin' but I really wasn't focusing as I forgot to put the borrowed tow rig into 4x4 when we stopped at the office and the loaded trailer pulled us back down the hill just before the cabin and nearly into the ditch
Yeah, I had to change my shorts after that :whoops:
We didn't take time for a lot of pictures, but here are a few of the group (minus me with the camera) and the two trail vehicles.
The Jeep is really modded with 38" Super Swampers, a Dana 70 in the rear and Dana 60 up front with ARB lockers all around and a swapped chevy small block 350. I have to say though, STLCruiser's 80 went everywhere the Jeep went and did it with a lot more comfort and much smoother ride (and quieter also).
Oh well, we all had fun!

I can't believe we didn't see you guys. We wheeled all Day Saturday and evn went on a night run that night. There are lots more pics posted on Marlin's website.

We got there early and left early due to my schedule and a leaking high-pressure line on the Jeep's power steering.
The only thing we ever found at mudfest was that both sides of the exhaust were loose right after the headers. My best guess was uneven backpressure on the two sides leading to the power loss at low rpm - but I'm only a 1/2
mechanic. The power loss is gone after correctly fastening both sides, so who knows. The Jeep did great on the easy trails at Flat Nasty, and they are going to Washita this coming weekend and camping out (not me though, as I'm out of town).
The high-pressure hose was leaking at mudfest, we just didn't know that was the culprit. We found it before the first trail at FN while sitting in the campground airing down with the hood popped. Every time the wheel was turned, fluid shot out of a small pinhole on the side of the hose. By the end of the hill & gully trail, the resevoir was nearly completely dry and we had no royal purple on hand for his hydro steer system, so we trailered the truck and called it a day super early.
I'm looking forward to a Washita run sometime later in the summer.
