I'm not sure if this is in the right place or not. If not I apologize and moderators feel free to move it.

I'm working on piecing my steering together. I installed an FJ60 box with an FJ80 pitman arm. I'm planning to eventually go spring over at which time I'll do high steer arms and run full FJ80 links. But, for now I'm trying to ream out the hole in the passenger side FJ40 tie rod to accept the FJ80 drag link end.

Hopefully that all makes sense.

I'm wondering if anybody has an FJ80 TRE tapered reamer I could borrow or rent to accomplish this? I know I could buy one but since this is supposed to be a temporary fix I hate spending $50 + shipping on it.

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

just buy it. then you will not have to replace the borrowed tool when you brake it.

I'll probably end up having to. I just hate buying stuff like that knowing that I'll only use it once.

If you end up buying it I may have use for it after you, I could give you half if I do end up needing it. So let me know.

Kyle I might take you up on that! I'll let you know what I end up doing.
