I am about to put my SE hydraulic ram on my FJ80 front axle, I just wanted to see if anyone had pics of the mounts the made. I found a couple pics but they all had the brakets cut off.

yea, I have checked out the slee's stuff and they use there hi steer and double ended rams. I just wanted to see if anyone had used a single ended ram behind the axle. I hate to reinvent the wheel when I don't have to. I think I have the problem solved just need to find time out in the shop to machine everything.

This is what I came up with, anyone see any problems before I weld it up?

Only real down side I can see is that being so low, the Ram may limit my up-travel as it is going to be the first thing that his the oil pan.

Why not put it in front and hook it up to the original drag-link arm?

I am running full hydro and have no PS box.
The first spec for my system was cheap.....so far I have $99 in the ram and no money in the orbital valve. Being full hydro I needed a 2x10 ram, which hit the stock mounts or was just to long to fit any where else.

I understand that you're running full hydro and that you don't have a draglink. I meant the drag-link hole in the steering arm, in front of the axle. Where the original drag link came from the steering box and connected to the steering arm.

Both of your options have been stated. You can either do a rear mount and put it behind the axle or in from. I will be running mine on the front with the Hi-Steer Kit from Slee (coming this winter).

I do not have mine mounted yet, but I sourced a double-ended left side steering arm from a RHD '80 and plan to run the ram on the front of the axle going to the front arm on the left side.
