Didn't find a thread specific to this topic so I thought I'd create one in case it helps anyone.
Been addressing little things on a new to me FJ62 and the hinge on the original center cnsole box lid was broken. Found an FJ80 lid on ebay which was visually similar but shorter than the FJ62 lid; decided to give it a try. Once I moved the latch forward on the FJ80 lid it worked out OK for now; at least until I come up with a way to replace the flexing plastic hinge on the original lid... (who thought a molded, non-replaceable hinge was a good idea?).
The rear of the latch just happens to line up perfectly with the edge of the "bumps" on the FJ80 lid (put a straight edge along the rear of the bumps, pencil in a line, and align the back edge of the catch on the line).
