I have a 1994 FZJ80 that had ABS factory that has since been deleted.

I'm shopping for a new master cylinder and am curious if anyone knows the differences between the ABS and non-ABS masters.

From what I've found the two masters do have different brake line orientation. And according to one thing I found on Rock Auto, the non-ABS master has a pushrod length listed as .715" and the ABS master listed as .692".

Reason I ask is I was wondering if id be better off going with a non-ABS master since I no longer have ABS. I was looking at the Advics masters that I read were pretty solid.

A buddy of mine has a 94fzj80 doesn't have abs from factory and also has a semi floating rear axle just throwing that information out there. So there might not be any difference in them

If your current master cylinder was working properly then there is no reason to change. Its only a few dollars difference but because of the port location differences could be more effort to install.

i agree it would be easier to install with the same port location, I was just wondering if the non-abs master would be a better pair for the now non-abs system. But based off bore size being the same I can't think of any reason it would be.
