Wanted FJ80 12H motor alternator replacement

Hi there, I have a landcruiser Fj80 with a 12HT diesel motor. Recently changed the alternator and still having problems getting it to start.
Can you use a 2H or 3B alternator as a replacement? I live in Costa Rica and am trying to source the correct part or at least create something custom. Any leads to sources where I could find this, online or maybe in the country if someone on this forum is also from CR

I basically have a ton of questions about this alternator and what we can do to get our car up and running again.

Are you referring to a starter or alternator? Also was the motor swapped into the 80? I know it came in an HJ61.

I am referring to the alternator -- that is the part I am searching for.
Yes the motor was swapped into the 80, did not come with it originally. it was also changed to diesel, I dont think the car was diesel originally.

The alternator only charges the battery doesn't have anything to do with starting it. As far as diesel parts the best I have found has been partsouq.com they ship worldwide and great pricing.

The engine cranks but does not start fully, should have mentioned that

Also should mention that this happened a day ago as well, and after recharging the battery the car was fine for the rest of the day (up until right now)
