Gday all.
In the latest episode of a terrible drama with bad mechanics a valve stem has broken.
It's in a mid-wheel base FRP top FJ73 3F 1991.
The mechanics recently had the head off twice, it was cracked and repaired twice.
They also honed the cylinders and changed the rings and bearings when the head came off again.
I thought all was finally OK but today it suddenly started to run like s***, stopped, got towed back again and then I get shown this as seen in the photos.
Also Oil is in the radiator, very milky water, and water in the oil, milky oil.
What could they have done wrong??
They are trying to tell me I thrashed it and that the valve has broken due to age and wear.
I've only done a couple of hundred Kms and not thrashed it grrrrr....
Head reco guy did not change the valves, just welded and machined I assume.
Broken valve stem is up high still, hopefully hasn't fallen into cylinder and done damage... maybe.
