I finally took some time to work on the FJ62. For those that don't know it is getting a 5.3l, 4l60e, Np203 range box doubled with a split case. This past Saturday I did a mock up of the trans and cases. Trans is freshened with some nice new goodies and mods. Shaft is changed with AA's shaft to mate it to the 203 with a vss for the fuel injection. Split case and 203 are mated with a CO OR EXP kit made by AA. Frame is cleaned up from many months ago, motor mounts are made but not in. I'm hoping this weekend we can put the trans on the motor and swing the whole mess in for a test fit and tack the motor mounts in and line up a trans crossmember.

'bout time you worked on that :)

Whose prom/flash/harness did you go with for the 5.3?

No harness here yet. I have full OE wiring and ECM. I'm 90% decided on Howell although the 10% is being cheap, assuming I have time and thinking of using what I have with help from here: http://www.lt1swap.com/2000harness.htm as well as the GM SI we use here at work. Howell seems to work out well for most with their proven product and support.

Looks like he prefers this company: http://www.fuelinjection.com/. They do talk big i.e. mod my harness and integrate into the FJ62. I would like my underhood fan to function, my guages to work, my fuel pump wiring could work, tach could work, etc. They might be the company to do it. No price on site though.
