Selling a transfer case removed from a running FJ62 with 141K on the clock. Transfer case worked fine. Inluded is the manual High/neutral/lo shifter assembly. This transfer case looks exactly like the transfer in my H55 equipped 86 FJ60- and I suspect it is indeed the same case. Does anyone know for sure? The only difference I see is that the 2WD/4WD shift merchanism is vacuum operated on the 62 transfer case. In any case I would like to get $275 for this transfer case. Actually the automatic transmission is available, too- price $200. Heck, buy 'em both for $425!!! Located northeastern PA. Shmukster

the cases are very similar. the vacuum actuator can be converted to the mechanical linkage and it's easy enough to build twin sticks for them.
there are a few mechanical differences in the cases as well. the gear ratio/pitch/tooth count is slightly different. also, the high and low speed gears are supported by captured roller bearings instaed of bushings (60 series cases).
