fJ62 Trans needed

Hello fellow Michiganders,

Hope all are staying warm in this winter wonderland. With that being said, im buying a 1988 FJ62 next week that needs a transmission. Does anyone know where i could acquire a used/rebuilt one? Or if there is anyone in MI that would rebuild it. Iv'e called several local places and no luck so far. Appreciation in advance for any info.

That's an auto correct? A440? I have one from a 62. No idea of its condition.

Not sure where in Michigan you are, but I found a good old school transmission shop in Dexter willing to work on older cars, they did my clutch - quality work and fair price. No idea if they'd rebuild for you but might be worth a shot.
