Swinging from a vine.
I've had a burnt solenoid for a while, the brown one (2wd I believe). In the past, I have been able to get it into 4wd with the old hose swap technique. The last time I used that method was a few months back during a snow storm and it took forever (about 5 miles of driving) to engage. I figured that it was because it was frigid. Today, put a new brown solenoid in and have confirmed that it is working. Button out, I get suction from the Brown. Button in, I get suction from the blue. However, no 4wd. Am I dealing with a vacuum leak somewhere between the solenoids and the T-case? What else could be wrong?

Ive been asking a similar question for a while. Either today or tommorow im gonna pull the cover off the diapraghm and inspect that, and then check the fittings on the tcase for dirt clogs. Anybody know if there is a screen in there to clean or something? I too used to switch the hoses and after my MAC valve replacement it wont work for a realllly long amount of time. Ill tell you if i find anything that might help you out.

Agent, I pulled the lines at the diaphram and some gunk fell out of the 4wd line. Plugged them back in and it goes from 2 -> 4 -> 2 easy breezy. Hopefully yours is a similar simple fix.
