Am looking for an FJ62 to purchase. I have been actively looking in my area for about 2 and a half years. Where I live, they are either $12K trailer queens, or they are piles of scrap that people THINK are worth giant piles of cash. I am looking for a vehicle that will bust through the mountains of snow here in Erie PA. Rust doesn't scare me, I fact I encourage it, because of what I am going to use the rig for. A bit of mechanical failures are alright too, because it gives me something to work on. What I can't have is full on body rot, or major engine transmission I have an operating budget of about 4k. And traveling long distances is not in the cards right now, but if anyone is interested in coming to see PA wine country on the lake, and you happen to bring your rig with you....

Any help you can give would be great..
Thanks

Were are you located? I have a 60

Close to Erie Pennsylvania

I'm in southern wi. Let me know if that's 2 far

If I pm you my email address, could you send me some pics of the 60?

Bump daaayyy!

I am still looking. Anyone looking to sell?

Winter is almost over, and I am still looking...

I went to see this FJ62 in Rochester last year. This year, the owner said he was willing to negotiate on the price so I went back to see it and test drive it.

obviously i totally fell in love, and now know that I definitely want a 62 over a 60, and nothing will compare until I have two sitting in my driveway, one for the road and one for the trail.

The pictures shown are not current.
The rig has fist size holes in both the rockers, the passenger front and driver rear quarter panels have fist size holes
and both dog ears are rusted away, and the tailgate has the beginnings of rot. There was also a fair amount of oil and staining around the transmission, differentials, and axles.

I live in PA, and the rig will not pass inspection with giant holes in it. So, I factored that in to my offered price.
I offered him 3200, he declined, and he said that he couldn't do less than 4200

I thought that his price was a little high, and mine was pretty fair due to the issues listed above.

Am I way off in price? Should I just pay the man and incur the wrath of my wife.
Help. and if anyone has a 62 for sale, I am buying.

Mission accomplished. pics and build thread coming to 60 forum soon.
