I wanted to post this up, only because I noticed A LOT of people were bidding on this seemingly "pristine' FJ62 on Ebay, and there is probably a good chance some of them are 'mudders':
Toyota : Land Cruiser:eBay Motors (item 120507431666 end time Dec-23-09 18:54:56 PST)
I personally emailed the buyer and asked them WHY there was a chevy bumper on the 62, and why there was still blue painters tape on the truck. This was their response:
"We fixed molding and didn't remove painters tape at that time. I have this car with bumper shown on the pictures. Thank you. "
I'm sure this could just be someone with a very limited English vocabulary, but in my experience, the wording sounds very "scam-ish"...so BUYER BEWARE.
I also notices, the rims were painted ON the truck. The rear drum brakes are the same color as the rims from the over spray.
And lastly, the seller has ZERO feedback, and took almost a week to respond to my inquiry.
...Just voicing my concern. I would hate to see a fellow mudder get scammed, especially around the holidays.
Cheers
