I almost forgot. I took it down with some scrap metal to get a little cash. It weighs in at just over 5000lbs. I figure that is pretty good considering the dual cast iron t-cases, the adapter is steel, lots of extra steel for the rock sliders and stuff, the one tons, dual beadlocks, and 37's. I really want to get some 38's I wanna get those michelin xml's They are awesome looking.

Sweet lookin good

Excellent!!!!

Is there any real disadvantage to running the 8 bolt H1's over the 12 bolt H1's for what we use them for?

From my understanding anytime you increase the number of bolts for the beadlocks you increase the reliability and strength. These are pretty stout though. Good enough for banging them on rocks and such.

lookin good man.

thanks guys. I can't wait to really take it out. It has been in progress for over a year now since I stripped it down to only the frame, body and an engine.

Things I have left to do.

1. Lengthen front driveshaft.
2. redo front coil spring mounts on the axle
3. Put in bump stops (front and rear)
4. shift linkage for the 205
5. finish rock sliders
6. under belly skid plate
7. fix rust hole on the roof.

Coming much later will be a cage and to make it a soft top.

I can't believe I only have 6 things to do before I can really do some fun wheeling again. actually five. I don't really need to do the skid plate but I just want to.

I've been doing some serious thinking about going soft top too. Just too much damn rain here in Oregon. I think I would end up being sorry if I did.

it will never be more than down here my friend .. here rains 8 months a year .. and there a few weeks of rain in the years .. that will amazed you ..

yeah but its cold when it rains here.

upps .. that's a good point .. well .. take it as your advantage, you don't need to worry about AC or engine temp issues .. ;)

It's colder when it rains out here. Wait that's not rain it's snow! Haha. My dad has a j**p with a rag top. Runs it all year long. Just cranks the heater. I say go for it! I just think it will be great to go out wheeling with it all open. Much easier to build a cage for it too.

Believe me... its not off the table yet. You go first. :p
