Mounted in an HJ60, removed due to location of fuel sending unit not matching up to floor access plate. Current tank manufacturing process requires removal of tank to service sending unit. Has had fuel in it, not run more than 50 miles. Removed and replaced with old style long range tank that had fuel sending unit location in proper place matching removable floor plate inside vehicle. Nothing wrong with tank other than sending unit not accessable from inside vehicle.
This is a BRAND NEW tank run for approx 50 miles. My loss your gain.. I have no need for 3 tanks and only 2 trucks.
PM or phone Nine One Three Three Eight One Two Three Two Nine.
New $925. Will take $700 OBO.. Local pickup preferred. Located in Kansas City, Mudship can be arranged or buyer pays shipping and crate fee.

Just curious, when did you purchase this? I thought MAF (and LR) would have fixed this by now ... Mine did the same thing 3 years ago and I had to cut a new access hole in the cargo floor.

:meh:

Why not just drop the tank to get to the sender??

Is is that much of a pain to drop the tank?? Do the senders go bad that often???

The tank was purchased NEW in July 2011.
Fuel sending units are man made and they will fail. I wanted to keep the interior in its stock configuration.

The point is for 1000 $ new, you expect the thing to fit properly. They're very nice tanks except for a few quirks and at the price the seller is offering, it should go quickly. MAF "forgets" to mention these things when they sell it, but knowing beforehand is half the battle.

I cut my cargo floor only because the rest of the cruiser is very rough. Had I a nice clean rust free one, I would have taken the tank back, too.

Good luck!

I have pulled almost all my cruisers tanks for one reason or another. 2 hour job for two people. I have cut none of my floors and never would. For 1,000 things need to be perfect. 2 cents MIke

The fuel sending unit hole only needs to be moved 8.5" forward but I do not have the welding capability.

Nor would any of his friends weld a gas tank!
