I have a 1983 fj60 I am selling as a parts truck, but if you have the parts this may be a steal for you. I suspect it has a blown head gasket, but it has not been to the shop yet. Coolant is in the oil. Everything else works except for the tach and the odometer. Odometer says 133XXX, and previous owner says it stopped working when the wiring harness was replaced less than 6 months ago. some rust, but it is still at a very manageable stage. Make me an offer. If you reach that magic number, I will give in.

If I don;t get a good enough offer I will part out.

I have a quote from a very knowledgeable shop in my town to do the HG for $700. He runs on the pricey side, but he does things right. In a bigger metro area, you should be able to do it for less. You ought to have a running truck for $2000. I just dont have the $700, so all I can do is sell.

I live in SLO and have a FJ62. It needs some new brakes. I'm not sure if FJ60 has the same brake system as the 62? I hate to see a Land Cruiser parted out but if it comes to that, let me know and I will be happy to take them off your hands (if they work well?). What shop did you go to?
