I think it is about that time to consider selling my old silver 1985, FJ60 Landcruiser. The vehicle is still very strong body wise, clean and rust free here in Tucson, Az.
The vehicle roughly has 146,000 miles. The engine is seriously seeing some fatigue. However it still runs well. I was considering doing a diesel conversion to keep it on the road. I think it would be a awesome project for someone who has the time for a diesel project or a engine rebuild. I was considering having the time to do it. However I have no time or energy to do so. The price is totally negotiable, and no offer will be refused. The vehicle has a plethera of aftermarket parts such as: A bullbar bumper made from Stout Products, a handmade welded rear bumper. H-4 Hella headlights. OME 2.5'' lift on OME shocks. BFG all terrain T/A's. Pictures are available on request. Thanks for reading.

Good Work!

easy photo posting

nice looking project...would indeed be a good platform to do a diesel conv...which is what i'm shopping around for...

hey, just for future referance for you...posting pics is probably easiest if you throw some on a host site like photobucket and then just paste their code right into your thread and they are resized for you automatically and appear in the body of your text with no link needed or anything else...

**also, as to the 60, i would love to see side angle pics, and am curious about the current running state with the mentioned engine needs...is this a 'non-running' sale, or is it just weak? weak on hills? at elevation? could it be a DD until finding the time to put it in the garage for a swap?

thanks much! *IMO, with the clean body, clean interior, OME lift, and bumpers, the the truck is still worth good money, maybe not 3k considering the motor, but not basement either

Thanks for the info on the pics.
No the engine does run it is a strong performer whether uphill or at high elevation. I have a rather steep driveway and it doesn't hesistate one bit. It is definitely a daily driver. I drive it all the time for the thrill. However it definitely will need to rebuilt with new rings or made into a project some time down the road. It burns oil somewhat which I have to check every other week or so.
Like I said earlier in the thread the price is negotiable. I was going with a high end ballpark figure. I will send some more pics. Hope this is somewhat clear on this.
