This trans/tcase came with a 72 fj I bought, but It looks like it is an fj60 4spd trans/tcase, and appears to be in good condition and was stored inside. I do have the trans shifter as well.

I am in sacramento ca and would like $450obo for both. Thanks

I also have an fj40 4 speed trans with case, and an fj40 3 speed trans with case for anyone looking.

That is a early FJ60 (mid 85 or older). It looks like the idler shaft is part way out in the photo. There is supposed to be a little tab that holds it in place. Seems like a decent buy for someone local.

That's an early H42/split case combo from an 08/80-82 FJ40. It doesn't have the 4wd pressure switch .....

Damn. This came with a cruiser that I bought awhile back and the owner told me one thing, then others told me something else lol. You're positive that's what it is out of? Am in in the right price range? I don't have any use for this one and I have another fj40 4speed with case already in the shop I don't need either. Just trying to recoop some cash and get these out of the way! thanks

It's actually out of an early FJ60.

Aluminum top cover
Shifter at rear
Short trans
No 4wd indicator switch on Tcase

Therefore 8/80-1982 FJ60

@orangefj45

How long did those square output flanges go? I bought one that had those. I saw new output flanges at @cruiseroutfit (ers) and they were all round and reasonably priced.

Pretty sure the 87 t-case I have has round ones.

The square flanges were used from 8/80 until 8/84 then they were superceeded by the round flanges ( bigger bolt pattern; same as FJ62 and 80-series rear ).

These flanges are a different spline count than anything else Toyota used on axles or tcases.
We've taken the later round flanges and re-drilled them to work with other driveline bolt patterns.
