Sorry, thought I had posted these up weeks ago...don't know if you are still interested / looking.

Hit me back with a PM if you still are interested...

I am needing to fabricate a 3rd row in my 60 as well.. 4th child on the way.. thinking about getting a tahoe, Yukon or Escalade 3rd row.. I like that the shoulder seat belts are built in to the seat

I’ve got a set of Yukon seats from 06 that I’m planning to put in the back of my 1983 FJ60 as a third row as well. The included 3 point seat belt is a big plus to that seat style.

I've had my 60 in the shop for a while getting all the rust cut out and new steel welded in. Should go in paint soon. Next step is to get the brackets welded into the bed for a 3rd row. Do you know if your 06 Yukon seat fits?

It definitely fits with regards to width and depth. I’ll post a picture later to show you but there’s a few inches of clearance on either side. I fabbed up some steel plates to sandwich the body from above and below. The plan is to run some grade a bolts (2/mount) through the sandwich and attach the mount bars to those plates. I’m hoping it ends up stronger than a weld to the body.

Nice. I like the idea of additional attachment points on the top. Gives strength with leverage. Are you planning on making it detachable?

Yeah it will be removable. The factory yukon mounts will remain attached via bolt to the steel plates below and above, probably boosted in height by a few washers on each side, but shouldn't be in the way too much. This is what they look like...

No I wasn't that fortunate. I had to buy them for 40 bucks off e-bay, but was way easier than making my own bars. I paid 100 bucks for the 50/50 seat, and another 50 for the steel plate from Lowe's to fab the brackets. I'm headed back out there to buy the bolts, which may be around another 50. We'll see. Hopefully this time tomorrow I'll be able to post the completed job. Famous last words.
