I'm wondering about the feasibility of using a 85 4 runner drive train including axles on a FJ45. It would have all the disk brakes, 5 speed, etc. Just don't know how strong it would be. Disk brakes and a 5 speed would be cool though. By the way there is no drive train on it now. I have the 4 runner, problem is it runs good. Want to use a 350 Chevy in this FJ 45. Any ideas? thanks for the info. Bunch of been there done that type guys on here.

found out the spring perchers are modified too much to use Toyota. A dana 60, 70 will work on it oh and a 44.
Update I found a "set" 60 rear 44 front with "lock rite" in the rear and 373 gears. What is concensis on this approach? Don't know about the 373 gear thing. Of course it was 410's. Guy wants $200 for set.

Wallace Id., what are they chances... I look at real estate there just about weekly as a possible retirement town.

$200.00 sounds like a screaming deal, if the 3rds are in the right places for what you have planned. I've always been a little of a purist, but it's hard to beat a 44/60 combo.

Pm sent. ;)
