Well I took some time off today to tear down my FJ45 LWB to prep for a complete overhaul. Now that Kevin (the FJ45 bed parts master) has taken some much deserved time off I need to get to fabricating the beds floor on my own. What I need is to ask if anyone out there knows were one can buy the corrugated flooring for a truck bed , 4x8. I may have to go with flat sheet steel but I like the corrugated much better. The floor is not in any shape to keep. The side panels have rust along were it mated with the floor. The wheel wells are pretty good. Easy fix on the side but if someone can steer me to were I can find that corrugated flooring I sure would be grateful.
Thanks

I personally would wait for Kevins to return to his metal wonder work....rather than fabing and later wishing you had gone with the BEST... I HATE doing things twice

Just my 2c

LWB Rebuild

I went to a few junk yards the other day in search for a donor bed, Ford,Chev, Dodge, and others. It seems that it will much easier the buy the corrugated steel than cut and paste.
As for waiting for a few years, I don't think that will be necessary.
I have seen the corrugated replacement patches for beds, but the size is very small.
I have built a few trailers using flat steel for a beds and really it did not look bad but things kinda slide around. Possibly some spray in bed liner will take care of that issue and protect at the same time. I guess what ever works as long as it is done right.
Monday the side's are going in for a good sand blast to prep for some major welding of panel patches.

Find an old school body man and have him roll you a new floor. He'll have a bead roller to do the job and should have dies of something similar or can fab them on a lathe. Depending on throat of the bead roller he can spin the panel 180 to do the other side. The floor comes out in pieces if u drill all the spot welds.

1tontoy, Haven't seen any Scout PU in this area for years. Pretty rear in them selves. Will keep an eye open. Thanks

tornadoalleycruiser, I actually was told this morning that there is a metal fabrication shop in my town that makes all kinds of medal items, large and small with many stamp die press machines. Monday I will check this one out.
I am with you on the old school body work. Been asking around on that also, but so far no joy.
It sound's as there are many good ideas but I guess no one really knows were to find pre-made sheets of bed flooring.
Thanks guys.
