Looking for a roof cap for my FJ40. Anyone within driving distance of Charlotte have one for sale??? Need the fiberglass cap and metal rain gutter rail. No rusty junk rain gutter rails please...
After spending over 40+ hours to completely restore the one I have to near perfect condition (had separated the roof from the rain gutter and POR-15 painted the gutters and re-attached everything with the proper rivets and seam sealer), I smacked a tree off road last weekend. The front passenger side rain gutter area in front of the winshield now looks like an accordian and the fiberglass is crunched and cracked...and when the roof rack hit the tree it bent the rain gutter in 3 other separate places.
Fortunately, the only other damage was my fender... Seeing as the fender and roof cap unbolt from the truck, I got really lucky and didn't damage the winshield, tub, doors, etc.
Just going to buy a new fender.
But any help or leads on a roof cap in the NC or SC area would really be appreciated...
