His shackles will be good once he gets some weight back on it.

Looks good for sure. I am not sure how much weigth you'll have to put in there to get those shackles at an angle you'll like riding in, but I am sure you will not want all that weight in there once it's in. You might want to think about longer spring, moving your spring mounts or something.

Are you going for a true resto or are you going to concider PS, motor and tranny options, and 4WDB? Those seem to be the big three mods that people in here really like. Those are all pretty easy to do at the stage you are now.

The green is sweet. Keep the pcs coming. Of the build up and the action shots.

thanks for sharing.

Welcome Melcor! Love the closeups of the paint! Simply awesome! Would love to see more. Heck for post more of your gf too. We appreciate cruiser beauty in all its forms!

Looks good in the pics Melco:cheers:.

For those that don't know the 253v8 he refers to is a Holden (aussie GM) motor. They are simillar to a chev but no.1 cyl is on the right bank instead of left like a chev, they did this so there is clearance around the steering box on the holdens.

BTW, tell Beno cool mud splash pic at the Pig Pen.:D

Hurry up and finish building it so we can go wheeling.:flipoff2:

Found a pic of Beno's Twuck at Land Cruiser Mountain Park. Yeah I know it's not a cruiser but my 80's in the background. beno1.jpg

Probably about 800 lbs of drive train will take care of most of it, I know it's a lot of wieght, but I'd miss it lot's if it were gone.

By the way, I have a soft spot for Nissans that aren't available in the U.S.

thanks

thanks for the warm welcome, sorry about taking so long to get back, just a bit busy...

now was that a pic of my girlfreind wheeling or just my girlfriend...

as far as those shackles go there lengthened 2" and the V8 & Tcase are cast , so there is plenty of weight there , the roll cage and the 80litre drop tank "should"take care of the rear....
