Just had my rear quarter panel patches welded in and am about to have the whole body re-painted. Before the painting, I am considering drilling holes in the driver's rear quarter for the 4WD and TOYOTA emblems. Hate to drill into new metal though...:crybaby:

Has anyone forgone the drilling and attached these emblems with epoxy and/or some other method with some success? If so, did you still use the rubber gaskets? Any help/suggestions will be much appreciated!

Thanks.

Drill holes if you want the orignal look and the ability to replace if they get broken on the trail,if you apoxy they will pull off the paint and will require paint touchup if you have to remove them but can be done with 2-way tape no gasket.
If you drill the holes make sure they are exact or it wont fit properly and a crooked badge will be noticable to your eyes and bug you forever.

thanks for your input - talked to my body shop guy and he said the same thing - DRILL. i'll get over having to drill into the new metal :)

Why would anyone have a problem with drilling the same way the factory did? Is drilling a bad word or something?

Can anybody tell me the original hole size for the 4 Wheel Drive badge? Mine was done away with when sheet metal was replaced. I want to go back with the original spacers.
