FJ40 Rear child seat and CB installed - pics.

Well, that's what holliday weekends are for right?

Got my Uniden Pro 510 XL installed, thanks to the millions of responses on the previous post I had - (ha ha) I guess it was a bit of a dumb question to ask.

So, pics are my 510 installed where the ash tray goes, made the faceplate out of 100 thou aluminum - one piece holds the CB and the dash. No cutting of dash or landcruser harming in any way. Antenna is a LilWill, installed on bracket (not painted in pic but painted now) bolted to door hinge.

3rd pic is my fabbed up bracket for my sons Evenflo car seat. Held from going sideways by the wheelwell and the angle on the inboard side. Cant go backward because of the framing behind, can't tip back because of the upper frame, cant tip forward because of the strap. Seat is held down with the LATCH strap. (comes with the seat) Frame is bolted where the original jump seat bolts in, and also using the pasenger side inboard rear seat bolt. No drilling or harming of landcruiser in any way!

Can anyone see anything that I have missed - or any big no-no's that I have done?

How many bolts hold the frame to the cruiser? If it's only two then that may not be enough but I'm not an expert.

3 bolts, the two original jump seat through the wheel well, and the passenger side inboard (makes a triangle)

Where did you get that tub insert? WeatherGuard? Rough...? Is it made to fit the 40 ir did you find one thats close enough? Thanks

Looks great. Nice spot for the CB. I also took out the ash tray and replaced it with a switch panel.

77TLCFJ40 - not sure where it came from, PO put it in, it is cut to fit, but fit's decently.

78-FJ40 - Nice setup, Holy center console batman@@ what the heck is that thing! Do you have an external spkr for your CB?
