I am selling the front brake drum assemblies that were removed in order to replace with discs. They are complete with cylinders, shoes, springs, backing plates, everything as shown in the pictures. All of these parts were taken off to make the disc conversions except for the safety bolts that were reused for the disc mounting bracket.
The shop told me that the drums have life left in them, but I stupidly did not ask him to give me the measurements.
***UPDATE -
I had the drums measured at a local shop and determined the following:
Drum #1= 11.457” or 291.00 mm Drum #2= 11.467” or 291.26 mm.
The max diameter is 11.496” or 292mm, so he said that he could resurface them. They look good to me and I would not recommend resurfacing, but that is just my opinion.
One or more of the cylinders leaked, so they should all be resealed.
They were taken off of a 1975 FJ40 with only 59,000 original miles. (It sat undriven at my dad's mountain cabin since 1981. He only went up there 1 or 2 weekends a month.)
Asking $50 plus actual freight cost or local pickup for both left and right. Each assembly box feels like it weighs 40-50 pounds and there are 2 boxes.
This is the first set of pictures.
