The FJ60 housings set up for FJ40 springover. Front is cut and turned, perches welded and diff armor. Rear has perches welded and tabs for anti-wrap bar. I'll also throw in the armored diff cover. For $300 you get this and a complete set of FJ60 axles for a bolt in conversion. You can't get the work done for that amount. Y'all don't buy this yer crazy!!!!

This might be a stupid question but I specialize in them so...

For the 60 series housings would one need to outboard the spring brackets on a 40 series frame or have the perches been in-boarded on the housings to line-up for a 40 series spring mounts?

Thanks,
Jon

Also - will a set of stock 1970 FJ40 thirds bolt up to these housings? Assuming I would be adding a set of 30spline Longfields and poly performance rear shafts?

Tim will have to answer the spring mounting question with a measurement of how far apart the perches are. The FJ40 third members should bolt right into an FJ60 housing. Adding 30 spline Longs and Poly rears would make these axles very strong!

The perches are inboarded. I will measure tonight.

Sorry for the delay on measurements. The axle housings are up on a high shelf in my garage and currently my riding mower is disassembled in front of the shelves (mowing season yanno?) so it's hard to get to them. I will post measurements this weekend....

Finally, mower's back together, yard's mowed and I got the axle housings out. the front is 24-3/4" between the insides of the perches, rear is 36-1/8" inside perch to perch.

Okay guys.. I need to move this stuff, so $400 for the cage and $250 for the high steer. All other stuff make offers.... please

wow......

Seeing this thread just made me a realize I need to get on the ball. In 1.5 years since cleaning out Tim's stash, all I have done is put a third member in the rear housing and put the cage in the 40:bang:
