FJ40 A/C (1 Viewer)

Has anyone here ever put a roof A/C on their Cruiser? I have been thinking about trying this, but I am not sure which kind to get, or if it is even a good idea.
I know they make 12 volt units, as well as 120 volt units which would require much more work.
Any thoughts?

Vintage Air makes a kit for FJ40s. Probably adds more value than a roof mounted unit.

I second Vintage Air. Bought a unit from them 20yrs ago for my 67 Impala. Worked good.

CCOT's Custom Built AC System for FJ40s is the Very Best

FJ40 Aftermarket Air conditioning Authorized Vintage Air Dealer

I wouldn't call it cheap, but it's a complete kit, which is a plus.

I've never installed one, but it seems straightforward if you are handy.

Edit: The CCOT kit is different than the Vintage Air kit. The link above was mostly for info.
