First I like to apologize to you folks that sent me a PM awhile back asking what I did to create the adaptation of the side parking light to turn signal, it seems as I over looked your request, sorry.
I will post this again as it was a very good adaptation as in a safety aspect for some of the 1974-84 FJ40/45 that had only the front of the turn signal functional and being view from forward facing traffic as to were any side vehicles could not see the turn signal. This really made me feel a bit better when in the intersections in a turn and even more at night.
This is a great weather day project for a weekend.
Okay it really is a very simple change. Parts needed:
Then merge into the parking light side with one wire
Then link into the turn signal side
That’s it. Simple, you’re done.
That’s it unless you want to update your bulbs to supper bright LEDs as I did.
You now will have side turn signals viewing to others along with running lights and have a bit of safety added.
The LEDs made them 3x brighter and also saves on the power.
Again, sorry for the delay better late than never.
PM sent.
