I tied a rope to the end of the loop and pushed it with the handle while someone else pulled on the rope. You can do rope on both sides with an adapter.

I don't remember. I found it on the internet - amazon or ebay. I bought two and only used one, sold this one but the buyer has yet to pick it up. Hint Hint Nudge Nudge

and I thought I was a lagger...looks like something one would find at a fireplace and chimney store...

Looks like a chimney brush but it’s less the half the size of anything I found. I looked at the stove store but they did not have anything close and what they had was too coarse and stuff

Yes, I completely deserve and have earned the "lagger" comment...which was a kind way of stating that I'm a slacker.
