I am after some meserments on the reverce idler and second gear on the laysharft in the 25 gearbox. If anyone has one stripped?
These gears came out of ww2 1943 chev box and they look very close to the 25s.

Has any one tried these before? as i can get a few new ones.

 Forgot about you, I'll try to get to the shed and pull out the parts tomorrow, anything else you need measured in addition to the above?

No that will do for now, i found a few new gears of the left hand one and the big second gear[rivited one]
Thanks Jim.

Ian, this is the best I could do, thought I had a countershaft broken down.

Anyhow,

25 Reverse: 23 Teeth, largest distance across teeth 3.532" , thickness .575"

25 Second: 23 Teeth, largest distance across teeth 3.551", thickness .630+/-"

I couldn't get a good thickness on the second gear, so I put the .575" on the caliper in the picture for comparison. The face is rebated about .15" like the chevy gear you pictured.

The bucket of parts is in the shop so let me know if you need anything else.

Hi Ian,
Have you got a spare box and transfer yet? How did your trip go the other week?
I spoke to a fella in nsw that has a couple of 25's and a 28.

Thanks for that Jim, teeth count and OD are are good, the 25 is a bit thinner, just have to find the ID. I will put up the rivited 2 gear when i get it.
