Here are some teaser pics...no time to process RAW files all night after wheeling all day then eating and drinking the rest of day....and at over 1 mile above sea level the three or four coronas and the "apple pie" and "blueberry pie" seems to pack more of a punch :D

Night before....2 chests of recovery gear and camping gear...two cans of gas, 1 can of water, 3 camp chairs, hilift, shovel, case of vitamin water, etc...

First night we stopped in Paducah KY....storms with hail, rain, wind up to 40mph, thunder, etc...so stayed in hotel of course. David (ProInv) and his daughter Claire loading up...

Next night we stayed in Salina KS...same of same...storms...and sleep.

Here are most of the remaining photographs....most still need editing of titles, location, etc...but you get idea

Then we stayed in Gunnison CO...nice little town...great atmosphere....after going through Pueblo at 104*F then reaching summit of Continental Divide and it was 66*.

Then down to Blue Mesa Lake....as we head to Gunnison

Beautiful. Y'all have fun and be safe. We are holding the fort down so enjoy yourselves.

Cool deal.
I found an article on Coal Creek/Windrock in TN.
Looks like it could be an alternative to Tellico. 72,000 acres, 175+ trails.
Shouldn't take any longer to get there, either.

I am in Dodge City tonight....and hoping to make Asheville by tomorrow night....gonna make tomorrow a long day so my final day can be shorter. :D Dave is headed to Moab....

I stopped by the Black Canyon today....not as large size wise but is deeper than the Grand Canyon.....it was phenomenal but pictures do not do it justice.

they will be posted upon my return....did dodge city this morning at miss kittys saloon (Longbranch) and now in Paducah KY....home tomorrow evening and dont work until Friday :D

working on them....I had to rotate tires today on FJ....then started installing a full armor kit for rear suspension.....shock mounts, front and rear control arm skids...and then fought with a rear diff armor plate for a couple hours before waving white flag at dark.

I need to convert another 150 pics from RAW to TIFF so I can pull them into GIMP and change size and convert to JPG for uploading...soon! :)

Awesome photos Ron. Very very nice. I would love to go back to that part of the COuntry during this time of year instead of skiing again. What camera are you using?

it says password protected?

nevermind it works now, it must be the sea legs and beverages have gotten to me.

a mid range pro-sumer called Canon Pro 1...does not give interchangeable lenses like regular DSLR but the included lense is an "L" series...which for those that know Canon is their premier lense...the lense makes all the difference. Like speakers...s***ty speakers will make a Nakamichi sound like a 8-track tape

I love the L lenses. I have a Canon 20D that I have been using fora few years now but now that i am trying to get back into photography I am going to try and aim for the 5D but not before i buy a HD camcorder.
That G10 is a pretty nice camera BTW. I plan on getting a Panasonic LX3 soon. I am tired of lugging my DSLR everywhere.

I want the 5D actually for more of landscape photography....the 20D you have is a great camera...and for all around use I think the 40D might be the best of the bunch all things considered. Well without going to the pro levels...LOL

What does the 40D offer over the 20D?

I meant 50D actually....
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canoneos50d/

resolution is nearly double....pixel density is almost double...new sensor version..think it is Digic4...more options for ISO rating, two focus sensor shapes, 3 raw formats, 3" lcd screen, LIVE View, .......so nearly double the capability for about same price the 20D was new...plus all the speed and FPS you need for kids, pets, sports...in addition to static photography. That is only thing about 5D and mkII is that they lose some capability with speedy shutter requirements ...not good for kids or fast moving objects....but I dont take those kind of shots anyhow...so the landscape, portrait stuff on 5D is better fit for me.
