Took out my 2009 FJ out in the sand dunes for the first time since I have been in Saudi. Truck is stock but have on it 265 75 16 BFG AT. Aired down to 15 psi and took the same trail as the Jeeps that were out there most of them lifted.
FJ did great.
I drove it mostly in high but the TRC and VSC kept on turning back on over a certain speed. Of course did put in low with the rear lock on some long steep hills where it LC
Climbed and kep going like a goat.
Most of you push hard your FJ. Don t the TRC and VSC interfere negatively once you re on the sand dune ? Am I better off trying to mod the wiring so they stay off in high range even above 50 km/hr. I think Toyota has a safety option where they kick back in above 50 km/hr. I am sure this has been debated before but could not find it.
