Early AM drive to work revealed that Fred Anderson has recieved the FJ Cruiser and is on display in front of store. Color is blue, was not able to stop and pull in so I am unaware how many they may have. Will be swinging by there during lunch to get a closer look.

The also have a white 40 in the showroom that needs some review. Juan and I are gonna go see if we can take one out SAt is anybody wants to meet up, maybe get a beer afterward at the Ale House?

plans have changed, gonna be on the golf course this afternoon. Andrew, chad, we should set up a time tomorrow to meet and take a look at, then maybe grab some beers at the ale house. What time works for you guys?

Sidenote, they obviously aren't to concerned about test driving as my neighbor's son (17) who has a 55 test drove one yesterday at Leith toyota, salesman asked why he was going so slow on 540.

Tell your neighbor's son to sell the 55 to me to fund his new FJC. :D

Andy, the 55 is coming to me in another year when he heads off to college. made a deal with his father a while back. Ironically enough it is the FJ55 that was in the carport at my house when I moved in, even more ironic we believe it is the 55 i bought as my first car that has been passed around the triangle area. Except now it has been redone with new interior and paint.

Good story. That's cool. I really want a 55 but don't want a project / rust bucket.

There is a high school kid down the street that drives a really nice one to school everyday. I tried to stop and leave my business card under his wiper blade but the campus "cop" told me I was trespassing and not allowed to approach his vehicle... :D

I'll have to figure something else out. I have looked at that one for sale in Raleigh a few times but I've heard some negative things about it...

You guys want to shoot for around 4 pm tomorrow. I can only hang out till around 6. Let me know if this works for everyone

nevermind, 4 doesnt work for me anymore :D

Let me know when you want to meet next and I will grab one for the night so you guys can check it out. The FJ is sweet. I actually thought of selling the 80 for it. I will wait until the special edition rubicon style edition comes out.

I stopped at the Toyota dealership after leaving the Charlotte auto fair this weekend. They have 2 on the lot. They have the blue and the dark red one. I was really impressed with how roomy it was. I'm 6'3 270 and it was pretty comfortable for me. They were asking 32K for each one. Does that seem to be the going rate for one?

Depends how it is optioned but yes, with the right upgrade package, $32K is a possibility.

Try to contact Danville Toyota. In VA. It's about 90 min from raleigh. I think they still had FJs left.

Fj

I just heard from a friend that Rice toyota here in Greensboro has a silver one for 27K might have to go take a look if the wife will let me. Might need to give her a few  before we go. Of course if someone will hurry up and buy my 97 F250 it'll make it easy on me. Did I mention it is a great tow rig...low miles... :D

Ha ha ha... You think a few  will let you get a New FJ??? First you have to get the '79 on the road.. :D Then we will talk about it... ;)

I love you... You are so funny.

The big toyota dealer in hickory right on Hwy 70 had a blue FJ i could see from 321. It was parked near the rear.
