Hoosier Cruisers is sponsoring the FJ Cruiser Trail Team at Badlands OHV in Attica, IN April 15 & 16th. The FJ Cruiser Trail Team will have 2 or 3 FJ Cruisers at Badlands to show us what they're made of. The Trail Team will put the FJC's through the paces on the same trails that we take our junk on, and a few lucky Cruiser lovers may even get the opportunity to test drive an FJC on the trails! After the wheeling is over for the day Saturday, the Trail Team and the FJC's will stay with us at the base camp to spend the rest of the night around the campfire for a cookout and BS session. We'll wake up Sunday morning and do it all over again.

Place: Badlands Off Road Park in Attica, IN.

Date: April 15th and 16th

Time: muster in between 9am and 10am of April 15th.

Location @ Badlands: Upper Parking area.

Primary Campground Location: Attica Family Campground, right next to Badlands.

Some members are planning to set up camp Friday evening, so anyone coming from out of town who may want to arrive early is welcome to join in. Originally we planned on camping at the Summers Carroll Campground for their liberal alcohol policy, but due to early season maintenance we have to switch to the Attica Family Campgrounds for now. There's a possibilty that we'll still be able to use Summers Carroll, but we won't know until the week prior to the event. Watch this thread for updates please.

This event is open to all who wish to attend. There may be a shortage of passenger seats open for all who can't bring their own rig due to the large interest in the FJC. If you need to ride along, please post up and reserve your seats early so can we try to accomodate everyone. Hope to see everyone there!

Dude, My brother is gunna take professional pics of the event. I'll kick him out of the trail the entire time, which he does not know yet. I'm also bringing my dad for some bonding. I'll have at least two seats open. Don't worry, you'll get to ride with someone.

Heard about this event on ExpeditionPortal.com. The FJ Trail Team posted about this event and I'd love to you join you out there. My name is Joel Ericson and I drive a Toyota T100. I hope to get into an FZJ80 soon.

I met one of your members, I think it was Clint, in the Gander Mountain parking lot in Indy. I spied his FJ40 and went up to introduce myself and take a look. He gave me a HoosierCruisers business card. Once the truck is paid off (only a month or two left) my intention is to join TLCA and HoosierCruisers.

Ya'll don't mind a non-member at this event do you? Any idea what trails the FJ will be riding on?

Regards,
Joel

Joel- I think I can speak for everyone and say that you are more than welcome to come out on the 15th (and/or 16th). I'd offer that you could ride with me, but I'm riding on Jimmys roof rack, and I don't know if there's room for two.... :) See you then, Luke

Joel, we don't mind if you come, you're more than welcome.

Luke, I have to eat some crowe. I might have over extended the seat issue. (some times my forgetfulness and generosity collide:doh: ). I have invited my dad and brother (official photograph for the event) to come along. Also, Mike S. is riding also. That's a full truck of people with you. However, my brother's going to be in and out, mostly out.

I may have to put the third row seats in and make the 80 the official troop carrier, no wheeling for me, which is fine, GSMTR is coming up.:grinpimp:

Tarzan- I was beating the crap out of that dead horse regarding the roof rack. I'm confident that when we all meet in the parking lot on Saturday morning, I'll be able to hitch a ride with someone...even if it is in an FJ Cruiser. See you then, Luke

Well darn, it looks like I'm not going to make it this weekend. I really wanted to see the Cruiser in action and was really hoping to get a chance behind the wheel (I imagine there will be quite a line for that though).

I will keep track of the Hoosier Cruisers though to see when you'll be at Attica next... still want to meet you guys.

A message of THanks

You all did a great job this past weekend....

Thanks again for letting Tim and myself join your club in a great weekend of wheeling and cruiserheading.

Hopefully next time, we won't have any weather issues to deal with...

THanks again gentlemen!!

Tim,
Maureen got to her destination save and sound. But wouldn't ya know it, we hit a rain storm heading southeast on the way home. You guys must have missed it.

I want to also thank the trail team for a great weekend. I had a blast!! We'll definately do this again.

See ya at GSMTR and back at Badlands. Now off to see the pics on the FJTT web site.

Jimmy

Jimmy,

Thanks for the update. I talked to her earlier today and she said she had a great ride down there with you and really appreciated it. We also hit some bad weather, saw two funnel clouds and had some killer dark skies. We made it to St. Louis today and are relaxing for the next few days. How were the pics on the site??
