I know that this is chat but I was driving home from classes thursday and saw a silver FJ Cruiser in Rolla, MO. It was silver. I wouldn't have thought anything about it....but it was muddy and it there was something about it that said ih8mud about it.......most of the FJs here in rolla are clean enough to eat on and this one looked like it was used for what it was designed for. I was in my blue 60 series, but didn't get a return wave.

yeah im in rolla...I go to UMR....there is another guy on here with a sweet semi stock 89 4runner.....his name is 4RUNNY....goes to school with me and we set side by side and had no idea until i saw him wearing a flat nasty shirt.

I don't do much offroading right now but might be interested in something as long as it didn't step on the toes of TAC.

I've driven back and forth through southeast MO four times in the last four weeks and mine is plenty muddy (need to wash it one of these days) but it's blue and I haven't ever driven it through Rolla. I was born in Rolla though, so the thread caught my eye.

next time you are coming through MO and have a few minutes, and you are coming through rolla.....shoot me an email, we can grab a bite to eat.

Thanks lunyou, if I have time I will. Got some consulting work to do on some gas wells in western Kentucky - usually I'm in a hurry to get there but maybe on the way back.

There is Flat Nasty OHV park not far from Rolla Mo. Last fall there was a TLCA event there- good time!

Extremetoy...i don't see a link......

I went down to FlatNasty for about 30 minutes to meet people(couldn't stay due to a wedding in the family). Next year we are going though.

There's a few of us planning to go March 10th - you're welcome to join.

Hey guys,

If you don't remember, I was the Gen1 red 4Runner on wagon wheels at FlatNastey. I've seen a few FJ's driving around but none of them were dirty or silver. There used to be a guy on our campus (UMR) that drove the sweetest FJ55, white and red with a lift and 33" Mud Terrain tires on black steel wheels. Do you know anything about that? Also, a guy with a nice blue/purple solid axle mini with Washington plates and a Downey suspension. About opening a club in the StL area, I thought that was covered by the TAC but maybe we need a chapter of our own. Give me a hollar anytime you guys are planning a trip in the Rolla or Columbia area or just want to talk Toyotas.

A good friend of mine lives in Bolivar, MO and has a silver FJ that is ALWAYS muddy, as he lives in the country. He hunts and fishes around your area on a semi-regular basis. He is not on this board, but I will ask him if he has been in Rolla lately.

The FJ is his first non-American made vehicle and he wouldn't know that your 60 was a Cruiser if it bit him on the ass. It was tough enough to get him to buy a "Foreign" vehicle; we just can't expect him to recognize all Cruisers yet.

BTW, he is extraordinarily impressed with the FJ .

If i didn't mention it earlier i thought it had some out of state plates on it but i might be wrong.

Dirk - tell your friend about the new club forming and tell him about Flatnasty on the 10th of March.

Hello?

Wow! Other cruisers(and toys) in Rolla, MO.

Don't mean to just jump in on a thread here, but was amazed to see other Mud guys in Rolla.

My name is Brock and i don't go to UMR(is that a rolla/cruiser requirement?).

I haven't been on mud for too long, but i'm on my second 55. I have been obsessing over cruisers since early high school years. I bought my first cruiser when i lived in St. Charles attending college. Sold the old blue pig and moved back to Rolla. I finally picked up a new one out of South Dokota this last week. You guys may have seen it already, red a little white and mostly rusty.

I have seen the blue 60 around town a few times.

Anyways just wanted to introduce myself and discover how small the Mud World really is.

This is cool. What part or Rolla do you live in....and no it is not a requirement to go to UMR....i wouldn't wish that on anyone.

We need to get together sometime soon...seriously.
