Those of you that are swapping to headers; what are you doing with your factory exhaust manifolds? How many of you are removing your converters as well? What results are you seeing?

We will be repairing a 2012 TT FJC soon that has a Thorley, no cats, MIL, drivability concern, etc. I don't see any take off parts posted in the for sale section. Does everybody keep them "just in case?" I'm looking for a set of manifolds.

Thanks 'mud!

The state I live in prevents performing such modifications and keeping it registered. From my limited understanding of the engine, the limiting factor have much more to do with OEM ECU limitations. Yet, I was satisfied with the performance of the FJC powerplant...

Most states do. This one was not done well.

x2 re satisfied with the engine's power ... no headers on mine even though I kicked it around ... I'd keep my manifolds just in case, so maybe others are doing the same thing ... I've read about people having issues with the O2 sensors after installing headers ... Underground Racing Development (URD) sells a module that tricks the ECU into believing that everything is as it should be ... pricy, but works ... to each their own, but to me headers just aren't worth the hassle given there's a emissions inspection required every 2 years here ...

Our concern is resolved. The truck did have the URD product and it did not work as intended but we were not able to determine if it was install or product related. The customer changed direction.
