I was curious how the other FJ Cruiser owners in the group are mounting there CB radios. If you could post some photos that would be great. I have a Uniden 520xl that I'm trying to install an about the only place I can find is the center console compartment.
For my CB I have a Cobra 75WXST.
It has a hidden unit with the controls on the handset. Cord just comes out from the side of the dash passenger side underneath.
My ham is mounted on the side of the center console passenger side. The ham radio is tiny so I can get away with it. The handsets hang from the rear view mirror. Because I already can’t see anything out of the FJC seemed like a decent place to hang em.
Thanks for the input and photos, this is what I ended up doing. Now I am just waiting for the antenna, mount and cable (and some wiring by me) to complete the project.
