on my side mirrors I place a square blind spot mirror that goes

over the lower third of the factory mirrors these large stick-on

mirrors almost eliminates the side blind spot.

I can see the whole back window with the factory rear view mirror?

i agree i dont really have a problem with the blind spots

My solution is the MUTH wide angle mirror with the built-in signal LED lights.

I got another set of mirrors from Multivex. These are made specifically for the FJC and completely cover the factory side mirrors so they look stock. They eliminate the blind spot and make towing easier since you can actually see the trailer in the side mirrors. I've used these before on a 4Runner and Taco and they work great.

I used a little cheap convex mirror. It completely eliminates the blind spot. I don't know why manufacturers don't just make them built in.

X2, every vehicle has a blind spot. For vehicles like pickups and SUV's that have large mirrors, there's no reason they shouldn't be standard from the factory. My '05 Silverado has the optional towing mirrors and they are outright $hitty for a truck. In 2006 they finally put convex mirrors on the standard mirror platform. It only took them 25 years. They're really no excuse.

Ford started making oem standard convex mirrors built in now. nice touch

I agree Niner. Wonder if there is an age gap between drivers that complain about blind spots. Every vehicle has them. Drive like your dad tought you how to drive when you were 14, use your mirrors all the time and don't bother turning around for a better view!! As soon as you trust your mirrors, your not gonna run into anything!!

I will concede that bigger mirrors or extended mirrors absolutly help when your dragging a trailer....but your still relying on your mirrors right? I have this haunting picture of Biff from Back to the Future, after he wrecks the car saying "you didn't tell me there was a blind spot"!!!:p

I do also use the little circle mirros, just in case some little rice beater whose roof sits lower than my freakin sliders sneaks next to me. But then again, if you did run over one would it really be missed. Kinda like the tree in the forest theory, no one there to hear it does it make a sound? If you don't feel yourself running over the beater, did you really run over it!!!:steer:
