I just parted out and cut up the rolled over and rusted out body of a early FJ-60 here in that states. I am stuck with the rolling chassis and drivetrain less engine. I was thinking of building up a FJ-75 pickup with a flatdeck and cummins 6at diesel. Is this conceiveable? What is the availability of sheetmetal in the Vancouver BC area? I'm just down in Central Washington State.
Thanks for the info.

Someone in Africa put the 75 series body onto a 60 series frame.I think the write up was on Hardcore corner, see the index
You might be able to get a 79 series body from the mines

I dont know if I would use the 6BT though, its a bit much for the Toyota front end IMO

I'll look into it. I wasn't talking a 6bt I was talking the 6at which is a bit smaller engine. I think it was either made by cummins for onan, or the other way around. I have seen them in delivery trucks with chev. bellhousings.
I agree, that BT would be a hog for the front end of a cruiser.

Thanks for the info.

My apologies for not reading it properly;)
Someone on here, and I think he is still around, used an Onan with a turbo and was happy with it.
Is this the one that is like a replacement for the Chev 6 gas engine?

Check hardcore section D'Animal FJ45 xtracab.
Excellent build
