hi
i have fj 73 seris lx turbo diesel landcruiser
i have just put on some 33icnh by 12.5 mud tyres but hav lost alot of power and the four wheel driving isnt the same when hill climbing...
i have tried an exhuast but that didnt help a great deal...is there any ideas to give it some good power?

Ok first thing is... i thought it was a petrol because you said fj

If its turbo diesel then does it have a 13BT? If so then its most likely a BJ74 or a BJ73 (3B with a turbo)

You actually havnt lost much power... its just the gearing is slightly out.
Its quite expensive to regear both ends just for 33s though.

Try a boost controller (along with a boost gauge and pyro) and get someone whos knows what they are doing to increase the fuel and up the boost and get it tuned...the combination with the exhaust should give a bit of improvement. You could also try an intercooler.

Or you could go back to 31s but i think bigger tyres give far more climbing advantage over a little extra power.

a mate has 105 series with aftermarket turbo etc He just took it unighted fuel injection in redcliff for a dyno tunes etc said he got heaps more power, could have gone for more power but the guys says its tuned mint good strong reliable power, that cost him $300 with a pyro hole and bung put in he just needs to by a pyro thing and said its better on fuel but a 4cyl should be really good anyways ay

so maby try that and hunt around for a intercooler
