FJ-60 Radio

Ok in my other post I talked about how I am picking up my 60 soon. One problem I would like to fix ASAP is the lack of a stereo head. How easy is it to find the mounting adapter and any adapter to go from the factory harness to the radio? Is it something that most any stereo shop or Best Buy can get or at least order?

sounds like you need a $30.00 boom box from K-Mart...

i would not use the 198X year factory harness w/ 20ga wire... make new grounds aux leads and constant power + all new wire to the doors or where ever. also i wouldn't want to pay or trust any one but yourself for this simple task.

Yeah, i agree, the wiring is easy as don't bother with adaptors just get out your trusty soldering iron and heat shrink, it'll last forever that way. With the mounting you will probably find that they don't exist, most people here i think will agree. You will have to fabricate something.

I personally would plan on new wiring and new speakers to go with the new head unit.
