Hey folks, I just found this site. Great site! I have a 75 and 76 fj-40 that I have had for years. I want to make one good one. I need restoration help somewhere close that is reliable and not too expensive. I can do most myself but am short on time. Any suggestions? I live in Blaine, in the Uwharrie National Forest! welcome Steve. always glad to have another 40 owner around. Akaline is in your area as well, but he is an 80 series guy. There are several good folks on here that have done some resto work. Just post up the questions as you come to them and someone will surely chime in to help.
Yup, you're right around the corner from me. 30 minutes max... Are you needing mechanical work done, or cosmetic, or both? I know several good mechanics, but there aren't any cruiser specific ones anywhere near here.
