One of the items I have not tackled from the PO was a missing bolt on the front drivers seat mount. I bought a couple extra OE bolts and they strip out (bought the second and third thinking it may have been me not paying attention). I think it needs to be rethreaded. At this point I even got a couple adjacent sized bolts from HD to see if they held enough to keep me from rocking getting into the car or punching it.
Here is the question
1. do I buy a tap kit and try to retap it?
2. do I buy a helicoil kit and drill it out to repair it?
3. or is there some other home brew idea that is effective (like tossing a dab of jb-weld on it)
I do not have much experience (yet) tapping something, but I do enjoy an excuse to buy tools and learn new things.
