Picked up my 2016 a few weeks ago and the first thing I noticed was the dismal dome lights. I headed off to Amazon, the forum, and countless sites looking for new bulbs and was stymied repeatedly.

So I opened up one of them and now I see why...

The factory dome lights consist of 2 crappy dim LED's.

I had already ordered a KC Cyclone LED that I was planning on mounting on my tailgate for light over my drawers so I did some magic and... The difference is amazing. I'll post a night time pic tomorrow.

I ordered 3 so I could do all the domes. the middle one and likely the front will be a little more challenging since the map lights are linked.

Did you buy the Clear or Diffused color? Not sure I know what Diffused is.....
Diffused is a hazy or sanded lens to spread the light. I bought diffused for my tail gate light, but it doesn’t matter for the overhead lights. It squeezed right in with the lens removed and the factory lens and diffuser re-installed.
I wired it directly in the cargo light and you have to remove the manual switch in that location.
I’m planning on keeping the manual switched in the other two, but it will take some extra electrical magic 😀

So this isn't a plug-n-play upgrade?

I changed my 2009 interior lights with an LED kit years ago from precisionLED. Huge difference. The only light to burn out was my dome light which they replaced for free. Mine was plug and play.

The 2016+ models have an led on a board that is really weak. We don't get to buy cool bulbs and plug them in. The price of progress???

That sucks! I love my LED headlights, I light up the entire road with my low beams and my high beams are bright like offroad lights for $10 from amazon.
