Anyone try the SOR seat foams for the '60 series? I'm thinking of getting one for my '82 BJ60 but I read elsewhere that the '40 series ones didn't fit well. Anyone used the '60 ones and have opinions good or bad?

I bought one for the drivers seat and it fit great. No problems at all, just a pain to remove the old foam. It made a great improvement but a week or so afterwards I had buyers remorse and wished I just bought a set of nice used seats off another vehicle (something more comfortable and perhaps with heat), as others on this board have done, and fabbed a bracket to make them work.

Still, a nice improvement and no issues .. just $$.

Fit, as bc says, it great. No buyers remorse here other than the freakin' $OR cost of the damn things. Install is simple and straightforward of this quality product. They have been in my truck now for two or three years and have broken in, not down, nicely. I thought about installing some Saab seats but liked the fact that with the stock seats you have storage space under them and that is in short supply in the front of the 60 series, IMO.

yes...for three years now. rebuilt stock seats with them and they "sit" great. very comfortable even during long haul trips. advantage with this route: no custom brackets to fab and you can add creature comforts as you see fit, i.e. seat heaters, lumbar support, etc...

Sounds good! I'll pick some up then as we do LONG haul travel (Central America to Canada and back once a year) with our '60 and it's a tad uncomfortable at times.

Jason, if you've got buyers remorse PM me and we can discuss as I'm heading down to Guatemala with a pickup from someone from Seattle in mid-February.
